Pumpkin pie

Last Sunday I cooked my first pumpkin pie. I really wanted to do it because I had tried it in a couple occasions and I liked it.

The first time I tried it was in a Thanksgiving dinner that Evangelical Church prepared for International students in Grand Marais (MN) in summer in 2008 (just for us so we could see how is that celebration, of course). The second time was last year in a real Thanksgiving dinner, surrounded by an American family (my boyfriend’s). His aunt was the great chef that night and her pies are delicious 🙂

My pumpkin pie wasn’t as good as her, naturally, but it has been a good beggining. It tastes good, although the appearance is not what I expected (technical problems with the oven :-P)…
